Mrs. Siri Kemp
Fourth Grade Teacher

I grew up in the small town of Hibbing, Minnesota.  Hibbing is also the hometown of Bob Dylan and the Greyhound bus system.  In high school, I decided I wanted to become a teacher and started searching for the home of my new adventure.  In 2010, I moved to Fulton, Missouri to attend Westminster College.  I fell in love with the community and geography of Missouri immediately.  Since moving to Missouri, I have made it my new home.  In 2016, I married Mr. Kemp (who also works at McIntire).  I have one step-daughter.  In my free time, I enjoy taking care of animals-- I have three cats, two dogs, five pigs, and five chickens.  I also enjoy making crafts and crocheting.

In May 2014, I graduated from Westminster College with a degree in early childhood and elementary education and a minor in Deaf communication. In July 2016, I graduated from University of Missouri- Saint Louis with a Masters of Education. My thesis capstone researched the affects of teaching problem solving skills to improve students' math proficiency.

This is my fourth year teaching. In spring 2014, I student taught at McIntire Elementary with Mrs. Poss in kindergarten. After that, I taught kindergarten for two years in Kansas City, Missouri at University Academy, a K-12 charter school. This is my second year teaching fourth grade at McIntire Elementary!

I am in the process of making a user friendly Google site that will be updated regularly. Check back for the link when it is ready!
