Welcome to Fulton Special Services!

The Department of Special Services ensures a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment for students eligible for special education or Section 504.  We are committed to identifying and meeting the diverse needs of each student through individualized educational programming.

We follow state and federal eligibility regulations.  Students who are eligible for special education qualify in one of thirteen eligibility categories.  Once eligible, and individual plan is developed by the IEP team where priority goals are a focus for the student, which will help them progress in their targeted areas.

If a student is eligible for a Section 504 Free Appropriate Public Education Plan, the focus is to provide appropriate modifications and/or accommodations in the general education setting.  This plan is based on a documented medical concern for a given student.

Students identified as Gifted will be invited to participate in Project Extra.

If you have concerns regarding your child and suspect there may be a disability, please contact your child's principal or a special education process coordinator.
