Transportation

NEW FOR THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR!!!

The number of allowable stops offered to families will include one primary bus stop and one secondary bus stop. This includes stops aligned to the student’s primary residence, before- and after-school care, split family households with custodial/visitation plans, and similar situations.

Students are to ride ONLY the bus to which they are assigned. Permission to ride another bus must be approved through the Transportation Office. Bus passes will only be issued to students in grades K–5 and only for emergency purposes. All requests must be submitted to the Transportation Office by 2 PM (12 PM on early release days). Once permission is granted, a bus pass will be issued to the student(s) from the transportation department and the building will give the pass to the student. Students must have the bus pass to give to the driver.

All bus transportation information will be sent via EMAIL ONLY - there will be no mailed correspondence.  When completing Online Registration, please ensure your email address is entered correctly, as this is the email address to which communication will be sent.

Transportation schedules will be emailed to families during the first part of August.  If you do not receive an email after that (and requested transportation for your student); please contact our Transportation Department at 573.590.8020 or fpstransporation@fulton58.org

Electronic Personal Communication Devices

To meet the requirements of Senate Bill 68:

  • Students will not be allowed to use or access cell phones during the school day.
  • Phones will need to be turned off and kept out of sight.
  • Use of phone during lunch, passing time, and non-instructional hours, usually considered a "break," will not be allowed.

Families of students with medical or other exceptions requiring device access are encouraged to work with building administration to determine appropriate accommodations.

While the law aims to reduce distractions, improve academic focus, and enhance student well-being, we recognize that this change may be an adjustment for students and families.  We do want to reassure families that in the event of an emergency, each building has procedures to ensure timely, accurate, and appropriate communication with families and students.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we comply with state legislation.
